We ordered this for the refrigerator freezer as the old one was making noise. This was not the same design, but a direct GE replacement built better than the plastic old one. Only thing is adding a drop of oil on the old one and it has not made a peep. Still I will be putting in this one 4 sure and keeping the old one for an emergency unit.
