I purchased this to fix the defrost issue with my fridge. It worked out great and best of all, I saved from purchasing a new unit.
I did not use this as a defrost thermostat. I used it to turn on a fan that circulated air in a potentially freezing area in an RV travel trailer. When the temperature goes below 40 degrees the fan will circulate warm inside air into the compartment until the compartment comes up to 60 degrees. I camp in areas that reach down to -9 degrees at night in the late fall. It works great!
